James Young was born prematurely with one hand, but he does not let that stop him carrying out any kind of manual work. He has always loved gardening from a young age.

James studied at Myerscough College for 3 years and has gained NVQ Level 1 and part of Level 2 in Horticulture and Landscaping.

He worked for Preston City Council's Parks Department for 2 years, during which he acquired his NPTC Pesticides Licence.
